SCD is a severe and inherited condition affecting the red blood cells and various organs in the body, causing episodes of sickness, attacks of severe bone and chest pains and other symptoms. SCD may lead to multiple acute and chronic complications, several of which have a high mortality rate. The foundation was founded by a group of individuals and professionals who have a passion for the life of children and individuals with SCD after hearing Lukumo and Ntambo’s story. Some of these are doctors and children advocates. The mobilization of resources shall be an ongoing fervent exercise.

The Foundation
The foundation is run by a committee of members who are highly qualified in various fields including bankers as financial advisors.
The foundation is registered with Pacra and is limited by guarantee. There are four (04) guarantors who act as Directors.
The foundation presents potential donors mainly corporate entities an opportunity to contribute to the socio-economic development of Zambia as a healthy and strong nation.
